TV on DVD

The other day I bought season five of Scrubs on DVD, which took a hell of a long time in coming out, but to me it is worth it. Not only do you get all the episodes in a season when you buy a TV show on DVD, but there is so much more. Every popular show, and even some not so popular ones, are all being released on DVD now, and allowing fans even more access to the show. Behind the scenes, the writers and directors - without which any show would suck, no matter how good the acting - finally get to speak up, and tell you how the show works, or came to be in the first place. You can see how much fun it would be, as well as how demanding to film a TV series. There is usually extra footage, and a whole host of other options, depending of course on the show. It truly is a dream for fans that the advent of this technology has so readily made this available to us, and while studios are now pumping out more and more of these series because of their popularity with fans, and monetary benefit to them, it actually offers more then just the show to you which is great. Shows like Scrubs who do huge amounts of blogging and behind the scenes features are allowing more inside looks into TV production than ever before. Enjoy.

100% agree, the advent of TV on DVD is the greatest thing ever. Not only does it give fans of shows a permanent copy, but it gives such a new way to enjoy shows. Shows like Lost for example are way better on DVD than they are on TV.
